White Oak Bicycle Donation Drive
Red Bank, TN — 10.18.24 — White Oak Bicycle Co-Op, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing public health, access to bicycles, improving alternative transportation, and promoting bicycle safety throughout the region, proudly announces a successful bicycle donation drive.
White Oak Bicycle Co-op would like to thank Talk Radio 102.3 and BeCaffeinated for hosting our bicycle donation drive. With their support we received more than 30 donated bicycles! The White Oak volunteers will refurbish the bicycles and distribute them to our community partners. Joining us for the driver were community partners, City of Red Bank, Bridge Refugee Services, Metropolitan Ministries, Welcome Home, Hamilton County Recovery Court and one of our corporate sponsors, iFixit.
Thus far in 2024, White Oak Bicycle Co-Op has refurbished and distributed more than 550 bicycles with a goal of 700 bikes in 2024. These bicycles play a crucial role in providing affordable transportation options and promoting healthy lifestyles across the community. Since its inception in 2020, White Oak Bicycle Co-Op has refurbished and distributed back into the community over 1600 bicycles, significantly contributing to sustainable transportation solutions in Red Bank, Chattanooga, and beyond.
Anyone with a bike they want to donate can drop off the bike at any of our 12 collection sites from Signal Mountain to East Ridge. www.whiteoakbicycle.org
