Elder’s Ace Hardware hosts donation drive for White Oak Bicycle
Red Bank, TN — 01.03.25 — White Oak Bicycle Co-op is proud to join forces with Elder’s Ace Hardware to gather bicycles for White Oak to refurbish and distribute in the community. Community members who would like to donate bicycles, in any condition, are welcome to drop their bicycles at any of the region’s Elder’s Ace Hardware.
White Oak Bicycle Co-Op, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing public health, increasing bicycle access, improving alternative transportation, and promoting bicycle safety throughout the region, proudly announces a successful bicycle donation drive.
The White Oak volunteers will refurbish the bicycles and distribute them to our community partners, including Bridge Refugee Services, Metropolitan Ministries, Welcome Home, Hamilton County Recovery Court, and others.
In 2024, White Oak Bicycle Co-Op refurbished and distributed 769 bicycles, a 51% increase over 2023. These bicycles are crucial in providing affordable transportation options and promoting healthy lifestyles across the community. Since its inception in 2020, White Oak Bicycle Co-Op has refurbished and distributed nearly 1900 bicycles into the community, significantly contributing to sustainable transportation solutions in Red Bank, Chattanooga, and beyond.
Anyone with a bike they want to donate can drop it off at any Elder’s Ace Hardware stores or the 12 White Oak collection sites from Signal Mountain to East Ridge. www.whiteoakbicycle.org
